1) Name and hubby's name: Meghan and Mike
2) Location: Chicago, IL
3) Years together: 5 1/2 years together, married for 7 months
4) How you met: We met at a wedding! One of my best friends from high school (and college) got married in June of 2004. She mentioned that several of the groomsmen were cute and single, but I was so excited to see so many friends at her wedding, that I didn't give it a second thought. However, when I met Mike at the rehearsal dinner, I was instantly smitten. He was so handsome! A few of us went out for drinks after the rehearsal dinner, and I remember trying to impress Mike with a horribly cheesy joke and my vast musical knowledge:) I don't know if he appreciated my joke, but I think he was intrigued.

At the wedding reception, Mike asked me to dance, and by the end of the evening, he had asked for my number. The rest, as they say, is history!
5) What would you say are the top 5 important things in keeping a relationship/marriage strong? Is there anything special you do for your partner/vice versa? What would you say your "keys to success" are in a healthy/fun/loving/etc. relationship?: I think the "secrets" to a good marriage are different for everyone. For us, the number one key to keeping us strong and healthy is communication. I used to keep my feelings bottled up and I've come to learn that this causes more harm than good. We constantly talk things out and never go to bed angry. Well, sometimes I get angry when he snores, but that's a different story:)

We also make sure we spend quality time together. Mike will be the first to tell you that I am the most intense person on the planet - I am constantly "on the go". Therefore, we build in time when we can to go on little dates, or do something other than sit in front of the TV. Our new tradition is to go to Starbucks together in the mornings before I leave for work - it's the best way to start the day, even if it is at 6:15 a.m.!
